I'll never understand people who complain or even deride the concept of Going Green. Wisegeek defines going green this way:

“To go green can refer to many different ways you can choose more environmentally friendly behaviors over those that are less environmentally friendly.”

Even if you don’t believe in Global Warming (a.k.a. Climate Change), is there any reason not to respect the world and the resources she provides us? What’s wrong with trying to find less expensive, cleaner and perhaps better sources of energy? As parents, would we advise our children to travel through life oblivious to the consequences of their actions? In the United States, aren’t we already paying the price for thoughtlessly stuffing our own globes (a.k.a.  bodies) with fast, high fat foods?

Religions often talk practicing mindfulness, which according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary means, “…staying aware of (paying close attention to) your responsibilities.”

So, if we’re not responsible for taking care of the world we live in—who is?

Today I’m sharing link to a story about a zoo known not only for taking good care of its residents, but also, doing so in an eco-friendly fashion.
